3rd Biomedical STAR-AI Symposium – Student AI Data Competition
To advance AI application impact under the STAR principle, a typical 2-Day Data Hackathon has been revised to span over several weeks so that student teams will have more time to explore different AI solutions for five real-world applications. Students can form a team and join an AI Competition from March 25th–April 10th, 2026:
- Topic-01: Multi-Agent Multimodal RAG for Radiology Decision Support
- Topic-02: Robust Drug-Target Affinity for Precision Drug Discovery
- Topic-03: Safe Clinical Reasoning Agents for EHR-Based Diagnosis
- Topic-04: ICU Multi-Outcome Alarms for Critical Care Monitoring
- Topic-05: Wearable Causal Digital Twin for Mental Health Interventions
The Data Competition will end on April 13th, 2026 (11:59 PM EST). Industrial judges will join academic judges to evaluate the submissions. There will be two winners selected for each of the five topics.
On April 16th, 2026, selected teams will present their discoveries. The winners will be invited to publish the results in peer-reviewed AI conferences.
In addition, there will be one keynote with one industrial panel to highlight the AI preparedness for the biomedical and healthcare industry.
